Synopsis

Transferring from Tokyo to a high school in Okinawa, mild-mannered student Teruaki Nakamura instantly falls head over heels for his cheerful classmate Asuka Kyan. However, a major communicative barrier stands in his way: Asuka speaks in a heavy, authentic Okinawan dialect that Teruaki cannot decipher. Thankfully, Asuka kind friend Hina Higa acts as a patient bilingual interpreter, translating local idioms and slang. What Teruaki fails to realize is that Hina harbors her own secret crush on him, sparking a sunny, bittersweet romantic comedy drenched in island warmth and cultural misunderstandings.
