Story

Synopsis

Born from the primordial Chaos Pearl, the Spirit Pearl and the Demon Pill are separated by the supreme Heavenly Lord. Intended to receive the divine Spirit Pearl, infant Ne Zha is cursed when a scheming immortal swaps the relics, causing Ne Zha to be born as the Demon Pill, destined to be incinerated by a heavenly lightning strike on his third birthday. Feared, isolated, and mocked by the villagers of Chentangguan for his explosive demonic temper, Ne Zha is secretly tutored in martial arts by immortal Taiyi Zhenren, seeking to prove his worth as a true hero.

Ne Zha befriends Ao Bing, the gentle dragon prince who secretly possesses the Spirit Pearl. When dragon king masterminds attempt to bury Chentangguan beneath a colossal glacial ice sheet, Ne Zha unleashes his true six-armed flaming avatar to shatter the glacier. Ao Bing sacrifices his divine form to stand beside his only friend as the apocalyptic heavenly lightning strike descends. Taiyi Zhenren uses his sacred lotus to preserve their disembodied souls as their mortal bodies are incinerated. The grateful villagers prostrate in repentance, recognizing that Ne Zha conquered his cursed destiny through selfless courage.
