Synopsis

Welcome to the tastiest classroom in Japan, where delicious food ingredients attend school as quirky anthropomorphic students. Sume, an energetic young ball of vinegared sushi rice, dreams of one day topping himself with gourmet ingredients to become the ultimate sushi roll. Alongside his lively classmates Abo the creamy avocado, Akami the earnest lean tuna, and Shinko the spunky pickled radish, Sume tackles daily school dilemmas. Between gym class seasonings, test prep cooking, and playground rivalries, the appetizing companions learn that the secret to a happy school life lies in mixing harmoniously with classmates who are wonderfully different.
