Story

Synopsis

Across the vibrant culinary realm of the Delicious Continent, food items live as sentient martial artists under the constant threat of the salty sea and voracious pirates. Super Baozi, an earnest steamed bun infused with martial arts spirit, dreams of becoming a legendary martial hero. When a terrible crisis threatens the stability of the food world, Baozi boards the Steamer Ship alongside an eccentric crew of culinary companions, including Salmon, noodle master Q-Bao, and clever dumplings. Together, they embark on a dangerous maritime voyage across uncharted flavour oceans, battling villainous pirate fleets and monstrous seafood invaders using ancient cooking martial arts.

Kung Food (known in Chinese as Meishi Da Maoxian) is a popular Chinese 3D animated comedy and action series created and directed by Sun Haipeng. Produced by Guangzhou Yi Animation, the series debuted on Chinese television in 2011 and quickly gained a massive following for its inventive character designs based on traditional dim sum and Asian culinary staples. Its commercial success inspired multiple sequel television seasons, toy lines, and the 2018 theatrical feature film Kung Food.
