Story

Synopsis

Juzo Ogami is a legendary forty-year-old underworld hitman known throughout criminal syndicates for his lethal marksmanship, cold professionalism, and ruthless precision. During an encounter with an elusive biochemical lab, he is stung by a genetically engineered mutant wasp that reverses his physical age back to thirteen. Unable to wield heavy firearms or operate in adult circles, his syndicate handler enrolls him in an elite middle school to blend in while seeking an antidote. Forced to navigate homework assignments, physical education classes, and adolescent cliques while repelling rival assassins, Juzo rediscovers the youth he never had.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Adapted from Tadatoshi Fujimaki's popular manga serialized in *Weekly Shounen Jump*, the creator behind *Kuroko's Basketball*, *Kill Blue* was produced by animation studio Cue. Broadcasting twelve episodes in spring 2026, the television anime delivered a sharp blend of slick John Wick-style gun-fu action and charming middle school slice-of-life comedy. The series won over fans through its inventive tactical gunfights, deadpan comedic timing, and Juzo's awkward attempts to adapt to modern teen culture.
