In 1989, Japanese delinquent Jotaro Kujo discovers he is possessed by an ethereal, devastating combat spirit known as a Stand. When the villainous vampire Dio Brando awakens after a century-long slumber, Jotaro's mother falls mortally ill from an uncontrollable Stand fever. Alongside his globetrotting grandfather Joseph Joestar, swordmaster Jean Pierre Polnareff, Egyptian mystic Muhammad Avdol, and student Noriaki Kakyoin, Jotaro embarks on a perilous expedition across Egypt. Battling tarot-wielding assassin Stand users sent by Dio, the Stardust Crusaders engage in deadly supernatural psychological combat across Cairo to eliminate the immortal vampire and save their lineage.
