Synopsis
In nineteenth-century Victorian England, noble heir Jonathan Joestar welcomes orphan Dio Brando into his aristocratic household, unaware that Dio harbors a burning ambition to destroy the Joestar family and seize their immense fortune. After Jonathan exposes Dio's plot to poison Lord Joestar, Dio dons an ancient Aztec Stone Mask, transforming into a bloodthirsty, immortal vampire. Rescued by eccentric Italian martial artist Will A. Zeppeli, Jonathan learns the ancient breathing technique of Hamon, which channels the life-giving energy of the sun through his bloodstream to eradicate Dio's legions of undead ghouls.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Jonathan storms Dio's castle in Windknight's Lot, enduring Zeppeli's death and mastering the Ultimate Deep Pass Overdrive. Jonathan strikes Dio with a sunburst ripple punch that melts Dio's body, though Dio severs his own head before the energy can reach his brain. Believing the nightmare finished, Jonathan marries his sweetheart Erina and boards an ocean liner to America. Dio's severed head attacks the ship with zombie minions. Mortally wounded, Jonathan uses his final breath to hold Dio's head tightly against his chest as the ship explodes, sinking to the ocean floor while Erina escapes with a survivor's baby.
