Story

Synopsis

In this celebratory musical fantasy, the real-world members of popular voice actress idol unit i☆Ris, Saki Yamakita, Yu Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yuki Wakai, and Miyu Kubota, prepare for a major milestone anniversary performance. However, right before taking the live concert stage, a mysterious supernatural anomaly transports the girls into Iris World, an eccentric animated dimension where music and fan energy sustain reality. To return to their home dimension and perform for their loyal concert fans, the five idols must overcome fantastical obstacles, sing signature choreographies, and rediscover their shared sisterly harmony.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Studio Gokumi produced this energetic sixty-minute theatrical anime feature, released across Japanese cinemas in May 2024 by Avex Pictures. Directed by Hiroshi Ikehata with a screenplay penned by Hiroko Fukuda, the movie celebrated the tenth anniversary of the real-life hybrid voice actress idol group i☆Ris. The production combined vibrant 2D character animation designed by Kazuyuki Sakamoto with high-octane 3D CGI concert dance numbers animated by Graphinica. The film gave longtime devoted idol followers an affectionate, colorful theatrical celebration filled with beloved fan songs and humorous self-referential idol lore.
