MAPPA animated this intense eleven-episode science-fiction drama, which aired in fall 2017 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. Directed by Keiichi Sato and Shuhei Yabuta, the anime faithfully adapts the dark manga by Hiroya Oku, the legendary creator of *Gantz*. The production achieved notable distinction by casting veteran live-action actor Noritake Kinashi as the voice of Inuyashiki and Kanata Hongo as Shishigami. The series received strong acclaim for its gritty urban realism, ethical clash between generational worldviews, and emotional climax where empathy triumphs over nihilistic adolescent violence.
