Synopsis
Within the enchanted walls of a whimsical kindergarten, powerful legendary spirits and terrifying yokai from ancient folklore gather not for bloody territory wars, but for afternoon naptime and snack breaks. Reimagined as adorable chibi toddlers, fierce warriors like Ibaraki Doji and Shuten Doji bicker over toy blocks, crayons, and playground swings. Patient human teachers struggle daily to maintain order while preventing magical temper tantrums from collapsing the school building. The charming comedy celebrates harmless childhood rivalries, demonstrating how even the most dreaded mythical monsters can become delightful, heartwarming playground buddies.

*Bai Gui Youeryuan*, known in English as *Hundred Spirits Kindergarten*, is a short form comedic animated spin off derived from NetEase internationally successful mobile role playing game *Onmyoji*. Produced by Painting Dream studio, the ten episode digital series premiered in July 2018. Transforming ominous mythical demons into cute nursery school students, the project delighted game fans with witty inside jokes, expressive voice acting, and gentle slapstick humor. Its cozy visual appeal and endearing parody of familiar mythological lore earned it broad popularity across Asian streaming platforms.
