Story

Synopsis

Centering on the charismatic fictional male idol duo LIPxLIP from HoneyWorks' popular musical universe, this film chronicles the origins of high school idols Yujiro Someya and Aizo Shibasaki. Yujiro is a polished, reserved kabuki scion seeking an independent career after losing his family's artistic succession, while Aizo is an outspoken, fiery street dancer determined to break free from his dysfunctional home life. When both boys pass an audition for an elite entertainment agency, their management forces them to debut as a collaborative pop duo, forcing two fiercely stubborn rivals into uncomfortable close quarters.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Yujiro and Aizo continually spar during rehearsals, nearly fracturing the duo before their debut showcase. When Aizo suffers an anxiety attack regarding his family's dismissive remarks, Yujiro defends him, and Aizo reciprocates by encouraging Yujiro during a harsh encounter with his kabuki relatives. Recognizing that their contrasting vocal styles and personalities complement one another, they perform their breakout hit Romeo before an ecstatic crowd. Accepting their creative partnership, LIPxLIP resolves to conquer the entertainment industry together, transforming their mutual antagonism into an enduring artistic brotherhood.
