Raised by mechanical robots in the deserted amusement park realm of Granbell, human boy Shiki Granbell spends his youth dreaming of making human friends across the stars. His solitary life ends when young B-Cuber streamer Rebecca Bluegarden and her cybernetic cat Happy arrive on the planet. When the resident machines undergo a catastrophic breakdown, Shiki escapes with Rebecca into the Sakura Cosmos. Inheriting the gravity-manipulating martial art Ether Gear from his adoptive grandfather, the Demon King Ziggy, Shiki assumes command of the legendary interstellar warship Edens Zero. Gathering an eccentric crew of cosmic adventurers, Shiki voyages into deep space to locate Mother, the mysterious cosmic goddess.

Edens Zero is based on the space fantasy shounen manga created by Hiro Mashima, renowned author of Rave Master and Fairy Tail. Produced by J.C.Staff with Shinji Ishihira serving as chief director, the anime television series debuted on Nippon TV in April 2021 before streaming worldwide on Netflix. Praised for its fast-paced interstellar battles, dynamic gravity-based choreography, and darker narrative stakes compared to Mashima's prior works, the anime concluded a successful first season before launching a second season in 2023.

An intriguing fantasy series that may not be for the impatient, but looks to be quite rewarding for the fan who can stick it out for the series run - unless it doesn't keep up the pace after all.
