Story

Synopsis

When an immense organic mechanical supercomputer known as the Big Gete Star enshrouds New Namek, newly appointed Guardian Dende pleads for help. Son Goku, Kuririn, Master Roshi, and young Gohan journey across the cosmos to liberate peaceful Namekian villagers enslaved by mechanical sentinels. Shockingly, the cybernetic consciousness controlling the synthetic leviathan is Cooler, resurrected through nanite biotechnology as Meta-Cooler. Even fighting shoulder to shoulder with Saiyan prince Vegeta in ferocious Super Saiyan tandem, Goku discovers that destroying one metallic clone merely summons a merciless legion of thousands from the central core.

Premiering in March 1992 under the direction of Daisuke Nishio, this sixth *Dragon Ball Z* theatrical production marks the historic first movie appearance of Vegeta fighting alongside Son Goku as a Super Saiyan. Toei Animation pushed sci-fi aesthetics with the sprawling metallic imagery of the Big Gete Star and relentless swarms of chrome Meta-Cooler androids. The film established enduring franchise action tropes, demonstrating that raw power alone cannot defeat infinite mechanized regeneration without targeting the central organic source.
