Story
Synopsis
While using Doraemon's dimensional hole gadget to retrieve a stolen toy from Gian, Nobita stumbles across a space-time rift that connects his bedroom closet to the ancient Mayana Kingdom, a pre-Columbian civilization in the jungle. There, Nobita meets Prince Tiio, an arrogant young heir who looks completely identical to him. Intrigued by each other's lives, Nobita and Tiio exchange clothes and trade places. While Tiio experiences modern Tokyo culture and school life, Nobita discovers that Mayana is being terrorized by the evil witch Ledina, who has cursed Tiio's mother with an eternal slumber.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Ledina kidnaps Shizuka to use as a human sacrifice at the Temple of the Sun to absorb the kingdom's solar energy. Prince Tiio returns to Mayana and leads an expedition alongside Doraemon, Nobita, Gian, and Suneo into the witch's volcano fortress. Tiio uses ancient martial arts while Doraemon unleashes future gadgets to defeat Ledina's stone golems. Nobita rescues Shizuka, and Tiio destroys Ledina's dark staff, causing the volcano temple to collapse. Cured of his arrogance, Tiio is crowned a beloved king, and the boys tearfully bid farewell before the rift closes.
