Deep Sea

Struggling with profound emotional neglect after her parents' bitter divorce and her father's remarriage, young Shenxiu feels invisible aboard a family cruise ship. During a violent oceanic storm on her birthday, she is swept overboard into the churning waters. Instead of drowning, Shenxiu falls into a kaleidoscopic underwater realm dominated by the Deep Sea Restaurant, an eccentric submarine eatery operated by the flamboyant chef Nanhe and his crew of aquatic creatures. Desperate to find her estranged mother, Shenxiu agrees to work in the kitchen while seeking the mythical Red Phantom.
