Synopsis
Glamorous American heiress Emily O Hara arrives in bustling Shinjuku offering private detective Ryo Saeba and his fiery partner Kaori Makimura a staggering one-million-dollar bounty. Her request is simple yet deadly: protect her from Douglas, a ruthless CIA rogue operative hunting her down. While Ryo eagerly accepts the lucrative bodyguard assignment, Kaori remains suspicious of Emily true motives. As heavily armed mercenaries ambush the duo across Tokyo highways, Ryo discovers that Emily is actually an undercover decoy in a geopolitical assassination plot specifically engineered by American intelligence to eliminate Ryo Saeba himself.

Released theatrically in August 1990 alongside *City Hunter: Bay City Wars*, this action-packed forty-five minute feature was directed by Kenji Kodama and produced by Sunrise. Adapting Tsukasa Hojo popular shonen manga, the film exemplifies the franchise winning blend of slick urban gunplay, hard-boiled detective intrigue, and slapstick 100-ton hammer comedy. Featuring fluid hand-drawn weapon choreography, classic eighties city-pop tracks, and Ryo iconic Colt Python marksmanship, the movie delighted fans as a quintessential high-octane Tokyo crime thriller.
