Synopsis
Mysterious dimensional portals leading to the hazardous realm of Mato suddenly open across Japan, unleashing monstrous entities called Shuuki. The discovery of mystical Mato Peaches grants superhuman powers exclusively to women, creating a matriarchal social hierarchy enforced by the elite Anti-Demon Corps. Ordinary high school student Yuuki Wakura wanders through an open portal, facing certain slaughter until rescued by Kyouka Uzen, chief of the Seventh Squad. Recognizing Yuuki's unique latent compatibility, Kyouka uses her Slave ability to transform him into a monstrous, high-speed combat beast, cementing a dangerous partnership with unexpected rewards.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Adapted from the action fantasy manga written by *Akame ga Kill!* creator Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, *Chained Soldier* was animated by Seven Arcs under general director Junji Nishimura. Broadcasting twelve episodes in winter 2024, the series gained international attention for its high-octane monster battles, bold fanservice dynamics, and voice performances by Akari Kito and Yuya Hirose. Its commercial success led to the announcement of a second season produced by studio Passione.
