Mushoku Tensei Watch Order: Seasons 1-3 and the Specials in Order, in order
“Mushoku Tensei seasons 1 to 3 and the specials in release order.”
Redemption stories usually skip the awkward part. Mushoku Tensei doesn't. It follows a 34-year-old shut-in who is reborn in a fantasy world and has to face the person he used to be. (Fair warning: it's rated 17+, and the story doesn't flinch.)
The watch order is refreshingly simple: release order. There are three seasons, and each one is split into two parts that run back to back: Season 1 in 2021, Season 2 in 2023 and 2024, and Season 3 in 2026. Season 3's second part is listed for October 2026.
So do you need the two specials? Answer: no. Eris the Goblin Slayer and the Guardian Fitz episode are side stories, and you won't lose the plot without them. Think of them as side quests in a video game: fun if you want more time in the world, never required.
At the end: Season 1 (Parts 1 and 2), Season 2 (Parts 1 and 2), then Season 3. Keep a few tissues nearby.
