Story

Synopsis

Mirai Asahina and Riko Izayoi travel to the magical realm to attend the Grand Witch Festival, an enchanted carnival held once every century to celebrate the blooming of the sacred Wishing Stone. Legend holds that the sacred stone will choose a single pure-hearted festival attendee and grant them any wish. During the celebration, the stone unexpectedly selects Mirai's beloved living stuffed teddy bear, Mofurun. The festivities are abruptly shattered when an evil shadow bear sorcerer named Dark Matter attacks the festival, abducting Mofurun and the stone to extinguish all magical warmth from the world.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Dark Matter strips Mofurun of her mobility, turning her back into an ordinary inanimate cloth toy to feed off Mirai's profound grief. Refusing to succumb to despair, Mirai, Riko, and Kotoha channel their deepest magical bonds and tearful affection into Mofurun's body. Miraculously, the Wishing Stone awakens, granting Mofurun her own human form as the legendary magical warrior Cure Mofurun. Joining forces with Cure Miracle and Cure Magical, Cure Mofurun unleashes the Heartful Rainbow blast, purifying Dark Matter of his corrupted bitterness and restoring the Grand Witch Festival to joyous peace.
