Story

Synopsis

Ordinary elementary schoolboy Jason stumbles across Evan, a miniature transforming living vehicle known as a Mecanimal that descended from the alternate dimension of Triforce. To rescue Evan's separated brother and restore balance between dimensions, Jason becomes a Mecanimal Tamer, mastering tactical vehicle cards in competitive card-launching duels. Alongside passionate allies and rival tamers, Jason competes in high-speed matches while opposing the nefarious Black Mirror syndicate, who seek to enslave all Mecanimals for galactic domination. Through trust and tactical teamwork, Jason and Evan unlock magnificent ultimate vehicular battle transformations.

A major South Korean animated television phenomenon co-created by Choirock and Sonokong, *Turning Mecard* was animated by Heewon Entertainment. Featuring creative direction and screenplay contributions from veteran Japanese anime writer Atsushi Maekawa, the fifty-two episode series aired on KBS2 from February 2015 to February 2016. The show became an enormous commercial sensation throughout South Korea, shattering toy merchandise sales records and spawning successful sequels, feature films, and extensive international television broadcasts.
