Story

Synopsis

The heroic Princess of the Imperial Army, revered as the commander of the Third Legion, has been captured by the fearsome demonic Hellhorde. Imprisoned deep within the underworld fortress alongside her talking holy sword Ex, the Princess prepares to endure the most gruesome physical torments rather than surrender imperial secrets. However, the Hellhorde's chief inquisitor, Torture Tortura, employs far more diabolical methods than blades or chains. In each interrogation session, Tortura presents mouthwatering temptations, such as steaming bowls of tonkotsu ramen, freshly buttered toast, piping hot takoyaki, and soft-serve ice cream. Overwhelmed by delicious culinary wizardry, the Princess hilariously crumbles within minutes, eagerly trading state secrets for a single bite.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers

Animated by Pine Jam and directed by Youko Kanemori, the television series aired during the Winter 2024 season. Celebrated for its wholesome, heartwarming comedy, mouthwatering culinary animation, and delightful voice work by Haruka Shiraishi and Shizuka Itou, the series proved a viral hit, earning an immediate greenlight for a second television season.
