Synopsis
Stepping away from the high-stakes romantic drama and family panic of the main series, the heroines of Rent-a-Girlfriend take center stage in super-deformed chibi form. Each bite-sized comedic vignette explores the humorous behind-the-scenes dynamics of Chizuru Mizuhara, Mami Nanami, Ruka Sarashina, and Sumi Sakurasawa as they tackle everyday situations with exaggerated silliness. Whether practicing theatrical smiles in the mirror, testing out ridiculous smartphone camera filters, squabbling over wardrobe choices, or trying to manage Kazuya's awkward antics from afar, the four girls deliver rapid-fire slapstick and lighthearted banter in short, playful comedy sketches.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Rent-a-Girlfriend Petit (Kanojo, Okarishimasu Petit) is a companion short-form chibi web animation series produced alongside the first season of the main anime. Animated by Studio A-CAT in collaboration with TMS Entertainment, the mini-episodes were distributed across official social media channels, Twitter, and YouTube throughout Summer 2020. Designed to give fans playful comedic side stories between television broadcasts, the shorts highlight the voice cast's comedic chemistry in miniature format.
