Synopsis
Single father Kakushi Goto is a prolific creator of raunchy comedy manga whose entire domestic routine revolves around shielding his innocent young daughter Hime from discovering his vulgar profession. Going to elaborate extremes, Kakushi leaves home in formal business suits, covertly changes into casual artist clothes at a rented locker, and commands his editorial assistants to maintain strict secrecy. This theatrical compilation expands the television narrative with poignant original scenes, following eighteen-year-old Hime as she visits her father's secluded coastal storage facility and finally uncovers the profound secrets of her childhood.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
At eighteen, Hime opens the sealed storage boxes in Kamakura, discovering Kakushi's complete manga drafts, serialized magazine runs, and heartfelt parenting journals, realizing his eccentric deceptions were acts of pure paternal devotion. In the present timeline, Kakushi awakens from a multi-year coma induced by a workplace accident, suffering from amnesia. When Hime presents his cherished manga manuscripts and sketches, his buried artistic memories flood back, and father and daughter share an emotional reunion. Kakushi proudly accepts his artistic identity, celebrating Hime's adulthood while returning to cartooning with his family's loving support.
