Story
Synopsis
Inspired by a Japanese lunar probe capturing an image of a mysterious white shadow on the moon, Nobita insists that the mythical moon rabbit really exists, only to be laughed at by his classmates. To prove his theory, Nobita uses Doraemon's History Exploration Badge to create the Rabbit Kingdom on the far side of the moon, where fluffy rabbit creatures build a bustling mochi-making civilization. When a mysterious, quiet new transfer student named Luka joins Nobita's class, the children invite him to the lunar colony, discovering that Luka is an immortal alien prince possessing radiant Espal energy.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
The tyrannical alien warlord Diabolo dispatches an armada to capture Luka and his Espal race, planning to harvest their psychic energy to restore his dying homeworld of Kaguya and eradicate Earth. Doraemon and the children mount a desperate defensive battle in lunar orbit, but their gadgets are drained by Diabolo's forces. Luka sacrifices his freedom to protect Nobita. Combining their courage and the Rabbit Kingdom's inventions, Nobita and friends destroy Diabolo's core. Luka and the Espals use the badge to forfeit their immortality, choosing to live happily as ordinary mortals on the moon.
