Story

Synopsis

Following dramatic sealing rituals across the city, winged sun guardian Keroberos and lunar counterpart Spinel Sun settle down for a relaxing feast of freshly cooked takoyaki. Harmony vanishes when a heated dispute erupts over who gets to consume the final golden octopus dumpling. In the ensuing tussle, the sizzling delicacy flies straight out the window, initiating a frantic high-speed chase across modern Tomoeda. Soaring down rooftops, weaving through traffic, and employing magical agility, the diminutive guardians turn the entire neighborhood upside down in their chaotic culinary rivalry.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Screened as a theatrical comedic short alongside *Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card* in July 2000, this vibrant ten-minute short was animated by Madhouse under the direction of Morio Asaka. Adapting the beloved mascot comedy segments from CLAMP magical girl franchise, the film provides delightful comic relief through dynamic slapstick and hyper-expressive character movement. Celebrating Kero and Spinel popular rivalry, it remains a charming fan-favorite miniature feature praised for bright animation and effortless entertainment.
