Synopsis

Crown Prince Cecil is cursed with overwhelming intellectual genius, leaving him perpetually bored with predictable court politics and sycophantic royal nobles. His monotonous daily existence is upended when noble daughter Bertia abruptly announces that she is reincarnated from another world and destined to play the villainess who gets exiled. Amused by Bertia clumsy attempts to orchestrate evil schemes that continually end up benefiting commoners and charming royalty, Cecil finds himself utterly captivated. As genuine royal conspiracies brew, Cecil uses his formidable intellect to protect his delightfully eccentric bride.

Adapted from the fantasy romantic comedy light novel series written by Shiki and illustrated by Hachipisu Wan, *An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess* was produced for television by Ashi Productions. Directed by Tetsuro Amino, the anime offers a novel twist on the villainess subgenre by narrating events entirely through the perspective of the astute prince. The adaptation earned acclaim for its sharp witty banter, elegant aristocratic character designs, and refreshing romantic chemistry.
