Synopsis
In the year 2061, Japan has lost its national sovereignty, divided into four oppressive occupation zones ruled by rival global trade blocs who deploy humanoid military robots called AMAIMs. Living a quiet scavenger existence while secretly repairing a derelict frame, teenage orphan Amou Shiiba encounters Gai, an advanced autonomous artificial intelligence on the run from military authorities. Activating the customized mecha Kenbu, Amou is thrust into open rebellion against foreign occupying forces. Allied with fellow resistance pilots and tactical insurgent cells, Amou fights to reclaim human dignity and liberate his homeland from mechanical oppression.
