Story
Synopsis
Wrongfully convicted of an assassination attempt on the Fourth Raikage and the murder of allied jounin, Naruto Uzumaki is incarcerated in Hozuki Castle, an inescapable criminal penitentiary in the Hidden Grass Village governed by warden Mui. Mui immediately places the Celestial Prison fire seal upon Naruto, suppressing his chakra pathways and threatening to incinerate his body if he attempts to escape. While enduring solitary confinement, Naruto learns that Mui framed him to exploit his boundless Nine-Tails chakra to unlock the Box of Ultimate Bliss, an ancient weapon said to grant absolute wishes.

Mui forces Naruto's chakra into the box to resurrect his deceased son Muku, but the box corrupts Muku into the demonic bird monster Satori. Satori impales Mui and slaughters the prison guards, anticipating opponents through their fear. Naruto activates Sage Mode to fight without fear, while Grass ninja Ryuzetsu assists him. Satori mortally wounds both Naruto and Ryuzetsu. After Mui uses his final breath to weaken the beast, Naruto destroys Satori with a Wind Release Rasenshuriken. Ryuzetsu performs the Dragon Life Reincarnation technique to trade her life for Naruto's, dying in his arms.
